When we began planning this backpack, several experienced mountaineers told us that they didn't need another product in their already extensive collection of daypacks. What they wanted was a backpack that would be suitable for all their mountain adventures, all year round. So we developed the Y MountainLine 40 Daypack! A product that you can easily adapt to any adventure in any environment. Turn it into a lightweight, small fastpack or a fully equipped avalanche backpack. The model may look simple and straightforward, but appearances can be deceiving. The simple exterior is the result of a careful design process with the aim of saving weight and reducing the number of seams to a minimum to ensure the best possible waterproofing. Thanks to the roll-top design, you can quickly and easily adjust the size of the backpack to suit your needs. The back can be opened completely, giving you free access to your gear and keeping everything organized. The lid is multifunctional and equipped with a large, spacious pocket. You can remove it and attach it to the main compartment as an additional pocket. Or attach it to the straps and use it as a practical chest pocket. Maybe you're just going on a lighter tour and don't need the extra storage space? Then leave the lid at base camp. Maybe you don't need the hip belt either? Then simply remove it and carry the backpack without it. If you then remove the back reinforcement, you have a feather-light backpack weighing only 667 g.
