SPS: The SCOTT S.P.S. (Strap Pull System) for running poles was developed by SCOTT's engineers to facilitate the use of poles and to quickly store them away when not needed. Pull the strap until it locks and check that the 4 strands are well-fitted together. When you don’t need them anymore, press the button on the grip and fold the pole to store the strap inside the grip.
S4: SCOTT aluminum ski poles undergo an electrostatic paint process, delivering a clean, contemporary, highly durable finish. They are constructed with the strongest aircraft-grade aluminum-zinc alloy commercially available, which has been heat treated and aged in order to confer its excellent properties. S4 aluminum poles are twice as strong as the industry standard and possess a very high strength-to-weight ratio.
