The Mountain Equipment GLACIER EXPEDITION LONG is your perfect companion for extreme cold during winter expeditions and high-altitude mountain tours. Filled with 1000 g of DOWN CODEX-certified duck down (minimum 700 cuin fill power), it keeps you reliably warm even in temperatures as low as -25 °C. The 30 denier DRILITE® LOFT™ outer material made from recycled polyamide provides effective protection against snowfall and condensation while remaining ultra-light. The sophisticated chamber structure with trapezoidal upper and slanted box chambers prevents cold spots and guarantees even heat distribution. Particularly practical: six chambers in the anatomically shaped foot section provide cozy warmth for your feet, which is crucial in low temperatures. The five-chamber hood keeps your head warm, while the long Gemini™ zipper with reinforcement protects against snagging and keeps the warmth inside the sleeping bag. Thanks to the magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and the easy-to-use drawstrings on the thermal collar, you can quickly adjust everything even at night. The slim Alpine Fit ensures optimal warmth-to-weight characteristics without compromising on comfort. In addition, Mountain Equipment is making a strong statement about sustainability with completely recycled inner and outer materials. With the Glacier EXPEDITION LONG, you are well equipped to sleep comfortably and safely even in the harshest conditions. Ideal for anyone who wants to combine function, comfort, and environmental awareness.
- The EN13537 standard defines the temperature specifications for sleeping bags. The insulation value is determined in the laboratory, thereby standardizing the evaluation of thermal performance. Three values are common: comfort (comfort range for women), limit (comfort range for men), and the extreme value at which there is no risk of frostbite or dangerous hypothermia. The calculations are applicable up to temperatures of --18°C; at lower values, the laboratory standard no longer reflects the actual thermal performance. For this reason, we do not refer to the EN standard for the models in this series, but rather to our realistic empirical values.
