The Dystingen Hat by DALE OF NORWAY is a sportier and lighter version of the classic 1956 Cortina hat.


The Dystingen Hat by DALE OF NORWAY is made of 100% skin-soft wool (merino), lined with polypropylene and features an updated version of the Cortina pattern. The pattern comes from the original Cortina jumper from 1956 - the very first jumper made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Cortina pattern embodies the essence of Norwegian tradition and has become one of Norway's most popular patterns.


The Dystingen Hat by DALE OF NORWAY is named after one of the mountains that surround the village of Dale. At 999 metres above sea level, Dystingen is one of the highest mountains in the region.
