• MIPS® Brain Protection System: MIPS® stands for Multi Directional Impact Protection System. The system, which was devised by Swedish doctors and engineers, was designed to provide protection even when the human brain is subjected to strong rotational movements in a multi-directional impact. Helmets without MIPS® technology also offer protection - but only in linear impact scenarios, i.e. when the head hits an object/ground straight on rather than at an angle - which is negligibly rare in practice.
