• 1000D Cordura®: Cordura® 1000D is BACH's strongest fabric and is very abrasion and tear resistant. The fibers are crimped (air-texturized). This results in a coarsely textured, matte surface with a pleasant feel. When woven appropriately, Cordura® fabric can be about twice as abrasion resistant as Oxford nylon or smooth polyester fabrics with the same thread weight. With only 30% additional weight, 1000D Cordura®, for example, has about 2.5x greater tear strength than 420D Oxford nylon.
